A joint exhibition by the gallery's Resident Artists for Buxton Festival Fringe. From the seed of an idea to a finished work of art, this fascinating exhibition explores the creative process. Through painting, mixed media, photography, textiles, print making and text, the artists examine acts of making in the visual and performing arts and the inspiration found in the forces of nature. Meet the Artists at the Launch Party on Wednesday 3rd July from 6pm to 8.30pm.
Until Wednesday 31st July: The Buxton Spa Prize 2019
Exhibition of the entries for this national competition, now in its sixth year, celebrating Buxton's architecture and natural environment. In addition to the main prize, you can view entries to the Children's and Teens' prizes and the UK's only Sketchbook Prize. Entry is free.
Buxton Festival Fringe 2019 - Wednesday 3rd to Wednesday 24th July
The UK's biggest Festival Fringe outside Edinburgh celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and The Green Man will be hosting 68 events including theatre, music, spoken word, comedy and visual art.

Sunday 14th July: Writers' Retreat
No distractions; no excuses. Just get writing. Monthly event hosted by Writers'HQ. 10am to 4pm. Regular refreshments and lunch provided. Booking essential.
Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th July: 'Landshapes' - The Art of Mosaic Landscapes
A weekend of exploration of the 'picassiette' mosaic process with Jo Spencer (Maid of Old Mosaics). The first day will cover selection and shaping of crockery to create a landscape mosaic based on images and photographs. Day two will cover the grouting and cleaning process to take your mosaic landscape to completion. Saturday 27th: 11am - 3pm (light lunch provided); Sunday 28th: 12 - 2pm (refreshments provided). Cost £55. Booking essential.
