The Green Man Gallery Spring Collection
Extensive and exhibitions by our Resident Artists and Guest Designer Makers including: paintings in oils, acrylics, watercolours and mixed media; oil pastels; pencil drawings; linocuts, monoprints, collagraphs, etchings and woodblock prints; photography; ceramics; textiles; jewellery; glass; mounted prints and a wide range of cards. 


Open Studios
Visit our Resident Artists' studios on the first floor. You are welcome to go in and view work in progress or chat to the artists when they are working.

Tuesday 9th May: Spoken Words – 6.30pm to 8.30pm
In May, Spoken Words has moved to the second Tuesday of the month due to the Coronation Bank Holiday. It will return to its regular second Monday slot in June. Spoken Words is an open mic night without the mic for original poetry and short stories. Entry is free. Donations towards costs are invited. (Doors open from 6pm.)
 
Tuesdays 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd &  30th May: Life Drawing – 7pm to 9pm Aimed at anyone who wants to develop their drawing practice with live models. £8 per session. To book contact Sue O’Neill on 07849 901406.

Friday 2nd June: #music+art - Endeli 5 Wind Quintet - 7pm

The much anticipated return of this superb wind quintet to the gallery stage as part of our 2023 Classical Series. 

Saturday 3rd June: Buxton Festival Fringe Programme Party - 7pm to 9pm Celebrate the publication of this year's programme with mini-performances, food, drink and excellent company. All welcome. Free entry.

Saturday 17th June: Clay Workshop with Earth Pig Pottery - 12pm - 4pm Explore the wonders of clay at this fun workshop with Green Man Gallery Resident Artists and Earth Pig Pottery founders, Geoff Chilton and Amanda O’Neill. Try throwing a pot on the wheel, make decorative tiles or hand-build mini totems in this exciting exploration of clay. All materials will be provided and no experience is necessary. Cost £90 includes tuition in various techniques in the Earth Pig Pottery Studio*, clay and glazes (if used); firing… and plenty of inspiration!
