COVID-19 : Update 1st February 2021
Buxton Festival Fringe 2021
Next year's Fringe is now open for registration at www.buxtonfringe.org.uk
The Green Man Gallery is a major Fringe venue. Click here for information about bringing your Fringe show to the gallery.
Guest Exhibition plans are on hold until more is known about the lifting of lockdown restrictions. We will, however, be inviting submissions soon for our annual open exhibition, a month later than usual in May. This will be a 'live' exhibition if we are allowed to open by then and online if not. You can still visit last year's online open exhibition here.
Venue bookings for workshops, performances and other events are also currently on hold. Scroll down to find out what is available in more 'normal' times.
For all booking enquiries, please contact Events Manager Caroline Small on hello@thegreenmangallery.com

Spaces for Hire - Exhibitions and Performances
Exhibition Spaces
We aim to programme a new guest exhibition every month. Exhibition space can be hired by individuals or groups of artists. Guest artists usually hire for one month but occasionally the period may be extended by negotiation. The gallery holds an evening launch event for each new guest exhibition. Ground floor: Open plan exhibition areas created using fixed screens measuring 4' x 8'. First floor: Five well-lit exhibition rooms of various sizes. Information for Guest Exhibitors ![]()
The Stage Area
The front section of the ground floor gallery can be converted into an intimate performance venue ideal for concerts, small scale theatre, comedy and spoken word performances and for talks and presentations. The corner stage is lit separately by two large spotlights; performers may bring their own stage lighting if required. Seating capacity is 60 when arranged in rows and 45 if seated at 'cafe tables'. The Workshop Room A large bay windowed room on the mezzanine floor. This room is equipped with work tables, folding chairs and easels if required. There are facilities for making hot drinks. Suitable for all types of visual arts and craft workshops, talks, writing workshops, meetings, rehearsals and many other uses. The Ground Floor Gallery The whole of the ground floor can be hired for receptions and other social events which are appropriate to the gallery setting.
