Sorry but we are no longer taking any bookings as the venue will be closing on 22nd December 2024 and our events programme is full.

Sadly The Green Man Gallery will not be operating as a Buxton Fringe venue on 2025.

Events and Performances - for information only

Performances, Workshops and Other Events

The Stage Area
The front section of the ground floor gallery can be converted into an intimate performance venue ideal for concerts, small scale theatre, comedy and spoken word performances and for talks and presentations. The corner stage is lit separately by two large spotlights; performers may bring their own stage lighting if required.  Seating capacity is 60 when arranged in rows and 45 if seated at cafe tables

The Ground Floor Gallery
Outside public opening hours, the whole of the ground floor can be hired for receptions and other social events which are appropriate to the gallery setting. (Please note that we can't permit any dancing as this would shake the ceramics off the shelves and the art works off the screens! The floor is very bouncy.)

The Workshop Room
A large bay windowed room on the mezzanine floor.  This room is equipped with work tables, folding chairs and easels if required. There are facilities for making hot drinks. Suitable for all types of visual arts and craft workshops, talks, writing workshops, meetings, rehearsals and many other uses.
