Georgina uses walking, performance and art writing to explore our impact on the environment and changing relationship with it.
Inspired by authors such as Rebecca Solnit and walking artists such as Simone Kenyon and Stanley Browne, Georgina aims to create intimate participatory performance artworks that challenge her audiences’ ideas of walking and perception of their own relationship with the landscape.
In recent work, completed for her BA in Fine Art at Lancaster University, Georgina specifically explored the traces we leave on the environment whilst walking, and used these ideas to encourage her audience to question the other actions and choices they make daily.
Georgina is currently on a year out of study and hopes to begin an MA in Contemporary Art Practice in October 2019. Due to the nature of her work, she uses her space within the gallery as a work space rather than exhibition space.
Georgina's studio space is on the first floor. Visitors are welcome.
