Claire Parker

Botanical work with a focus on ferns is my main interest at the moment. I paint primarily in oils and enjoy working on a large scale on canvas and on panel. I enjoy making studies in pencil and watercolour to inform my larger paintings.

My earlier career was as a scenic artist/ muralist and prop maker for TV and the theatre. This new work is the development of emerging as an artist in my own right separate and distinct from my career as a professional scenic artist for the stage and screen and as an art therapist.
