A. Two for Joy
Linocut print with chine collé detail    33.5 x 39cm framed            £120

B. White Crows
Collagraph with watercolour detail   42.5 x 52.5cm framed        £130

I enjoy working in mixed media, exploring various combinations of photomontage, collage, and textile processes. I also enjoy the discipline of printmaking, particularly lino and collagraphy.  I often hand paint these with gold leaf and watercolour.

Working across and combining a variety of media allows me the possibility of surprise - the part
of my creative process I relish the most.

Landscape, woodland, seascapes, animals and people are my inspiration, challenging me to convey in my work the feelings of beauty and mystery that they evoke.

A. Penny Nab, Staithes
Gouache on watercolour paper (painted en plein air) 40 x 50cm framed    £110

B. The Beck, Staithes    SOLD
Acrylic on canvas    53 x 63 cm framed          £250

Staithes in North Yorkshire has provided me with a wealth of inspiration for my paintings.
It is a wonderful place for painting en plein air. I really enjoyed capturing the colours of the headland at Penny Nab as the light changed throughout the day.

In ‘The Beck’, the view leads the eye through the landscape and its many textures.

This work uses prominent myths, events, architecture and people closely associated with the central theme of Buxton’s thermal wellspring.
